Was reading an article on C.K. Prahlad, kind of memoirs from one of his friend. Somehow, this article remind me about George Fernandes, the ex-defence minister and his friends who have launched a signature campaign in order to locate him....yes, he is missing.
At some point, during BJP rule, used to like his presence and he was senior leader worked during emergency days and now he has gone amiss. Amazing isn't that! google about it and you dig how his estranged wife and son are asking for his property and possesions and he himself suffering from Alzheimer. His wife constantly alleging his friends and brothers for seeking a share in his property and lot of drama up there in the court.
A person who has been constantly into media and now out of it is not new, part of uncertainities in life and when the chosen profession is like one, such things are common and the rise of "phoenix" can be the option. But such a sudden exit when everybody came up wondering, is something very 'not so obvious'. The property and money spats are so like it but still such fate of a leader...! Hope people (friends-wellwishers) and media other than looking for every if and then breaking news should volunteer in order to dig more otherwise it also become that one of unknown everyday story which happens at every nook and corner of this country and this should not be the fate of that person who was in defence ministry serving as defence minister but then ...?
This case also made me think about the recent Madhuri Gupta's trial in which she showed no signs of remorse for her deeds and deemed them right. Both the cases are the saga of loneliness and cases of high officials 'as if' trapped within bad karma (no supersition involved :D !) When we as a society, don't even have time to brush our memories and leave people on their own individual mercy, things like these will be more often and not like once in a while. We as a society give bruises to individual people and instill them with more insecurities and fears just because it acts as a healer towards our own. But somewhere we forget that in those short term gains we have paved a long term pain and this will again act in lieu with "Newton's third law"..every action has equal and opposite reaction and signs are showing..... !
Meanwhile updates on "Barcamp Punjab" : New speakers are round there... chk them out!
